Wine, women & soap
The Advertiser, 18th January, 2008

DEALING with exotic birds and spilled wine is all in a day's work for Model-actress Erin McNaught.

The former Miss Australia was in Tanunda yesterday, shooting an international advertising campaign for Cockatoo Ridge with a couple of the wine's namesake birds.Unfortunately, things didn't go quite to plan.

"Charlie the cocky koncked a glass of wine all over my shirt, but five minutes with a bit of soap and water and the hand drier and we were fine,"Erin says.

"It's not really working,to be hones, and everyone's been so nice."The beauty flies out today to head back to the Neighbours set, where she has just completed her first week of filming with plenty of on-the-job training.

"All I've done so far(before Neighbours)are TV commercials and some stage productions,"she says."My first rehearsal I turned up without a pen.which is a huge no-no,but the cast have been fantastic."

Cockatoo Ridge managing director Peter Perrin says the company will capitalise on McNaught's new international presence through Neighbours, with advertisements slated to hit the UK at the same time Erin appears on screen in the soap.

"She's the perfect brand ambassador-she's very Australian and a little bit cheeky,"Peter says.
