Good Wine for Under $20

Good Wine for Under $20

Cep Sauvignon Blanc is not in any way like some other boring Sauvignon Blancs out there. There are a lot good wines that are generic, "citrusy" Sauvignon Blancs out there. These can be refreshing but they don't necessarily make you want to run out and buy more of them. The Cep Sauvignon Blanc is different, though.

The price point is right around $20, but you will think it is a lot more expensive given the excellent flavor. This 2009 Sauvignon Blanc from Cep Vineyards is an excellent example of what a Sauvignon Blanc should be. Instead of the "citrusy" taste you may be used to, there are more pure notes of Meyer Lemon mixed with a clean note of mint as well. It is an intense flavor but never overwhelming, with lots of flavors and along, juicy aftertaste. This wine could be an excellent choice to pair with Asian food, roast chicken, an early spring salad, or seafood.
