Wine is of two types: red wine and white wine. It is made from fermented grape juice. There are the top 10 red wine brands given. First up is the French Beaujolais, which is red wine, made from Gamay grapes and is a light bodied wine; it is from the Beaujolais region.
The South African Pinotage is from South Africa and was produced first in 1925. This red wine is available in smoky, earth and bramble flavours. The German Spatburgunder is next and is also known as Pinot noir (a grape wine). This is associated with Burgundy in France.
The Argentinean Malbec is next; this is a violet colored wine made from grapes with thick skins. The Californian Zinfandel is red wine made in the Napa and is very famous. Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is also red wine which is internationally recognized to be one of the best. The Italian Chianti is red wine made in the area of Chianti, and its characteristic feature is that it is packed in straw baskets. Australian Shiraz is made from Shiraz which is a grape type. The French Bordeaux is made in Bordeaux, France. It has many ranks. Spanish Rioja is red wine that is made in Rioja (an area having 123,000 acres of wine yards).
